Job Details

Responsibilities:

• Provide legal representation to clients in insurance defense matters, including bad faith claims and personal injury cases.
• Draft, review, and interpret insurance policies and provide legal opinions on coverage issues.
• Handle all aspects of litigation, including discovery, depositions, motion practice, and trials.
• Use legal software to manage case files, conduct legal research, and prepare legal documents.
• Negotiate settlements on behalf of clients and advise them on the legal implications of the settlement.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of laws, regulations, and industry trends related to insurance defense.
• Collaborate with other attorneys, paralegals, and staff to ensure the delivery of high-quality legal services.

Qualifications:

• Juris Doctorate degree from an accredited law school.
• Admission to the state bar and in good standing.
• A minimum of 5 years of experience in insurance defense litigation, specifically in the areas of bad faith claims and personal injury. Trial experience preferred.
• Extensive experience in drafting and interpreting insurance policies, and providing legal opinions on coverage issues.
• Proficiency in using legal software for case management, legal research, and document preparation.
• Excellent negotiation skills with a track record of successful settlements.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with clients, other attorneys, and court personnel.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team, manage multiple priorities, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Commitment to maintaining the highest level of confidentiality and professional ethics.
