Position: Configuration Management Analyst
Location: Washington, DC (Hybrid)
Duration: 5 years
Required Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:
· Minimum of 5 years of experience in configuration management, change management, or IT systems administration within enterprise environments.
· Experience developing, implementing, and maintaining configuration management plans, policies, procedures, and system baselines.
· Strong understanding of configuration management principles, asset management, and change control processes.
· Experience maintaining hardware, software, and system configuration inventories and ensuring configuration documentation accuracy.
· Knowledge of ITIL framework, system lifecycle management, and change management best practices.
· Experience supporting audits, compliance assessments, and regulatory requirements related to configuration management and cybersecurity standards.
· Familiarity with NIST, FISMA, FedRAMP, DISA STIGs, and federal information security requirements.
· Experience coordinating with infrastructure, cybersecurity, engineering, and operations teams to manage configuration changes and maintain system integrity.
· Ability to analyze system changes for operational, security, and compliance impacts.
· Experience using configuration management and ticketing tools such as ServiceNow, Jira, Remedy, MECM/SCCM, or similar platforms.
· Strong documentation, analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
Education, Certification, and Clearance Requirements:
· Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or related field.
· Preferred certifications:
o ITIL Foundation
o CompTIA Security+
o Certified Configuration Management Professional (CCMP)
o Microsoft Certified credentials related to system administration or endpoint management
· Public Trust / Suitability or higher clearance preferred.
