Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Azure Engineer with strong Azure DevOps expertise to support enterprise cloud infrastructure and application deployment initiatives. This role involves designing, implementing, and maintaining secure and scalable cloud environments within Microsoft Azure while supporting continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD) pipelines.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing Azure resources, automating infrastructure deployments, optimizing cloud performance, and ensuring high availability and security of cloud-hosted applications. The selected resource will collaborate closely with developers, architects, security teams, and project managers to deliver reliable and efficient cloud solutions.
This role requires hands-on experience with Azure infrastructure, DevOps automation, cloud security, and monitoring solutions in structured enterprise environments.
Key Responsibilities
• Design, implement, and maintain Azure cloud infrastructure using best practices for scalability, reliability, and security.
• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps to automate application build, testing, and deployment processes.
• Deploy and manage Azure resources including Virtual Machines, App Services, Storage Accounts, and Azure SQL Databases.
• Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using ARM Templates, Bicep, or Terraform.
• Configure and manage Azure networking components including Virtual Networks, Subnets, NSGs, VPN Gateways, and Load Balancers.
• Monitor system performance and availability using Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, and Application Insights.
• Implement security best practices including role-based access control (RBAC), Managed Identities, Key Vault, and network security policies.
• Support application teams with deployment automation and environment configuration.
• Troubleshoot infrastructure and deployment issues and perform root cause analysis.
• Optimize cloud resource utilization and cost management.
• Maintain documentation for infrastructure configurations and deployment procedures.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, backlog grooming, and retrospectives.
Required Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related technical discipline.
• 5+ years of experience working with Microsoft Azure cloud services.
• Strong experience with Azure DevOps including build pipelines and release pipelines.
• Hands-on experience implementing CI/CD automation workflows.
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform, ARM Templates, or Bicep.
• Experience configuring Azure networking components including VNets and VPN connectivity.
• Experience implementing Azure security controls including RBAC and Key Vault.
• Experience with PowerShell or Azure CLI scripting.
• Experience monitoring applications and infrastructure using Azure Monitor or similar tools.
• Experience working in Agile or hybrid Agile environments.
• Experience using Git-based source control systems.
• Ability to troubleshoot complex cloud and deployment issues.
Preferred Qualifications
• Microsoft Azure certifications such as AZ-104, AZ-400, or AZ-305.
• Experience with container technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes (AKS).
• Experience designing microservices-based architectures.
• Experience working with multi-environment deployments (Dev, QA, UAT, Prod).
• Experience with enterprise identity management including Azure AD.
• Experience implementing high availability and disaster recovery solutions.
• Experience with cost optimization and capacity planning in Azure.
• Prior experience supporting large enterprise environments.
