Title: UAT lead
Duration: 12 months
Location: Toronto, ON/Hybrid (2 days onsite)
Responsibilities
Lead and manage end-to-end User Acceptance Testing (UAT) activities across multiple initiatives within the Financial Crime, Fraud, and Cyber Security domains
Act as the primary liaison between business stakeholders, technology teams, and external vendors during UAT phases
Define UAT strategy, scope, test plans, test scenarios, and acceptance criteria
Coordinate and guide UAT testers, ensuring timely execution and high-quality outcomes
Track, manage, and triage defects; work closely with development teams to ensure resolution
Provide regular status reporting, risk assessments, and release readiness updates to senior stakeholders
Ensure compliance with internal quality standards, regulatory requirements, and audit expectations
Mentor junior testers and promote best practices in UAT governance and execution
Required Qualifications & Experience
12+ years of experience in Testing within the Financial Services industry
Proven, hands-on experience leading User Acceptance Testing for banking products
Strong domain knowledge of:
Financial Crime Unit (FCU)
Fraud
Cyber Security
Banking domain
Advanced SQL skills for data validation, analysis, and test support
Demonstrated leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills
Experience working in complex, large-scale enterprise environments
Ability to manage multiple priorities and drive UAT delivery under tight timelines
Preferred Qualifications
Prior experience working directly with Canadian financial institutions
Familiarity with regulatory and compliance-driven testing initiatives
Experience in Agile and/or Waterfall delivery models
