AI Solutions Architect - Federal
Location: Remote (US) - DC Metro Area Preferred
Clearance: Active Top Secret or TS-eligible strongly preferred
ABOUT THE ROLE
We are seeking an AI Solutions Architect - Federal to serve as the pre-sales technical lead for federal pursuits spanning the Intelligence Community, DoD/DoW, DHS, and civilian agencies.
Partnering with Account Directors, you will help mission owners securely adopt AI and machine learning using a purpose-built AI security platform, carrying opportunities from initial discovery through proof of value and technical win.
You will architect and deploy solutions across both connected SaaS and fully disconnected, air-gapped environments, build integrations using SDKs and APIs, and create mission-focused demonstrations and proof-of-concept AI applications that demonstrate how AI workloads can be attacked and defended.
WHO WE ARE
We are a rapidly growing AI security company focused on protecting AI and machine learning systems from emerging adversarial threats. Founded by AI professionals and cybersecurity specialists, our technology helps organizations securely accelerate the adoption of AI while protecting models, applications, data pipelines, and supporting infrastructure.
Our innovative approach to AI security has received recognition across the cybersecurity and technology industry, and we continue to expand our work supporting highly complex commercial and federal environments.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
Lead Technical Engagements
* Lead discovery workshops to understand customer missions, AI initiatives, architectures, data pipelines, and security/compliance requirements.
* Translate ambiguous mission needs into scoped proof-of-value engagements with measurable success criteria, timelines, and exit conditions.
* Evaluate technical fit and clearly communicate platform capabilities and limitations.
* Turn loosely defined mission problems into concrete evaluation and implementation plans.
Create Real-World Solutions
* Architect and deploy an AI security platform in SaaS and fully air-gapped environments, including packaging container images, Helm charts, and artifacts for networks without internet access.
* Stand up and administer Kubernetes-based deployments using **Docker, Helm, and private registries** across cloud environments, including AWS government/disconnected regions, as well as on-premises platforms such as **VMware, Proxmox, and OpenShift**.
* Build mission-focused demonstrations and proof-of-concept AI applications across **computer vision, LLM, and agentic workload.
* Integrate SDKs and APIs to protect AI workloads, from model scanning within CI/CD pipelines through runtime detection and response.
* Advise customers on securing models, AI applications, data pipelines, and infrastructure using frameworks such as MITRE ATLAS, OWASP Top 10 for LLM Applications, and NIST AI Risk Management Framework.
Influence the Solution
* Deliver live demonstrations and architecture sessions for audiences ranging from data scientists and ML engineers to security teams and senior executives.
* Produce evaluation reports, reference architectures, integration guides, and other technical documentation.
* Support onboarding, troubleshooting, integrations, evaluations, and initial deployments in partnership with Customer Success.
Showcase Learnings & Best Practices
* Represent the organization at industry conferences, government engagements, webinars, and technical events.
* Convert field learnings into reusable demonstrations, internal enablement, and structured feedback for Product, Research, and Engineering.
* Maintain deep knowledge of adversarial machine learning and the evolving AI threat landscape.
WHO YOU ARE
* 5+ years in solutions architecture, solutions engineering, applied AI engineering, or a similar customer-facing technical role.
* Direct experience supporting federal customers across the Intelligence Community, DoD/DoW, DHS, or civilian agencies.
* Hands-on experience building with AI and strong Python skills.
* Experience across the modern AI stack, including **model formats and inference, LLM APIs, retrieval/RAG, agentic patterns, PyTorch, Hugging Face, and ONNX.
* Hands-on experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and Helm, including moving images and artifacts into restricted or fully disconnected environments.
* Strong understanding of MLOps and CI/CD and how AI/ML models move from development into production.
* Working knowledge of AI security, adversarial machine learning, and common AI attack classes.
* Experience operating within federal missions-not simply selling technology into federal organizations.
* Strong presentation and communication skills with experience conducting live demos, whiteboard sessions, technical presentations, and executive briefings.
* Demonstrated curiosity and continuous learning through side projects, home labs, publications, open-source contributions, or other technical pursuits.
* Ability to travel as needed for customer engagements and industry events.
BONUS
* Experience securing AI/ML systems in production or supporting AI programs in classified environments**.
* Experience with AI model formats and supply-chain concerns, including ONNX, SafeTensors, GGUF, and pickle-based serialization
* Experience red-teaming LLM applications or working with AI security/evaluation tooling.
* Relevant certifications such as Kubernetes, AWS, Azure, CISSP, or Security+, or experience delivering under federal compliance regimes.
* Public technical work such as GitHub repositories, Hugging Face artifacts, conference presentations, or technical writing.
Why Join Us?
Join a fast-growing company at the intersection of AI, cybersecurity, and national security. You'll have the opportunity to solve complex technical challenges, work directly with federal mission teams, and help shape how advanced AI systems are securely deployed and protected in some of the most demanding environments.
