About the Role
A Forward Deployed Engineer (FDE) bridges the gap between advanced AI technologies, including Large Language Models (LLMs), and practical enterprise workflows. Unlike traditional software engineers, FDEs work directly with business stakeholders in highly regulated environments to design, build, integrate, and deploy secure AI-powered solutions.
The client regularly hires for these roles to develop AI agents, copilots, and automation solutions that support Consumer, Commercial, and Wholesale Banking operations across its technology hubs in Charlotte, NC; Irving, TX; and Chandler, AZ.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, prototype, and rapidly iterate AI-driven workflows that integrate with enterprise platforms such as Salesforce and ServiceNow.
- Translate complex and ambiguous business requirements into scalable, production-ready technical solutions.
- Partner closely with business stakeholders to identify opportunities for AI-driven process improvements.
- Ensure all AI solutions comply with enterprise governance, model risk management, security, and data protection standards.
- Deploy, optimize, and maintain AI applications within enterprise environments.
Required Qualifications
- 7+ years of professional software engineering experience with strong expertise in Python and distributed systems.
- 2+ years of experience building AI/ML applications, integrating Large Language Models (LLMs), or developing generative AI solutions.
- Experience designing and developing APIs and enterprise-scale applications.
- Proven ability to deploy and support solutions within large, matrixed enterprise organizations.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with both technical and business stakeholders.
