Description:
This role focuses on ensuring the reliability and compatibility of enterprise applications across a rapidly evolving technology environment, including Office 365, browsers, operating systems, databases, and integrations.
The successful candidate will support testing of application releases and platform upgrades, with responsibilities spanning smoke, regression, and integration testing across a portfolio of ~500 applications.
While the current testing landscape includes a strong manual component, there is a strategic shift toward automation, with approximately 80 applications already supported by automated scripts.
Each submission must include a cover letter describing suitability for the role, and years of directly related experience for each of the essential and desired skills, along with reference to the relevant section(s) in the resume.
Essential Skills
1. Minimum five (5) years' experience writing SQL queries and test automation scripts for web and desktop applications.
2. Minimum five (5) years' experience in automation tools such as UFT One (formerly HP UFT) and Application Quality Management (AQM) (formerly HP ALM).
3. Minimum five (5) years' experience with testing mobile, web, and desktop applications, for compatibility with web browser, Office 365, database, integration, and operating system upgrades.
4. Minimum five (5) years' experience with at least one programming language (e.g., C#, Java, Python, JavaScript, VBScript) for automation frameworks.
5. Minimum three (3) years' experience working with virtual environments (IPC, VDI).
6. Minimum three (3) years' experience with application security frameworks, such as OWASP Top 10, or similar.
7. Minimum one (1) years' experience evaluating and applying AI-based object identification capabilities in automation tools.

Desired Skills
1. Strong verbal and written communication skills to communicate both internally and externally with personnel at all levels.
2. Ability to understand the use and impact of specific applications to end users.
3. Ability to support multiple concurrent projects and adaptable to changing priorities and deadlines.
4. Experience preparing and maintaining quality assurance and application risk documentation.
5. Previous work experience in the public sector (preferred) or organizations with multiple lines of business.
6. Certification in Quality Assurance or Software Testing.

This is a Contract position based out of Calgary, AB.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $50.00 - $65.00/hr.
