Details
Oxford s client is looking for a senior level digital board designer to work on high speed serial data links up to 25 gigabits. They are doing Ethernet and PCI Express (Gen 4), DDR, etc. Their boards are 16-18 layers and 12 x12 . They have FPGAs talking to each other over PCI Express, memory to FPGAs, breaking out HF differential RF. They are not looking for someone to do the FPGA firmware, but to do integration of the FPGAs, uCs, and uPs. They use OrCAD for capture and Allegro for layout. Their ideal candidate would be able to do Block Diagrams, schematic capture, layout, manufacturing improvements, improving yield rates, bring up, test, and troubleshooting. Layout expertise is not a dealbreaker, as long as candidates can do minor adjustments. Clock distribution is also key.
Any experience doing mixed signal design (Power distribution, breaking out high frequency differential RF would be a plus.
