Summary

Job Title: Regional Business Development Executive Specialty Insurance
Location: Remote (Must be able to travel to Chicago office once per month)

Job description

We are seeking a Regional Business Development Executive Specialty Insurance to drive profitable growth and retention across specialty commercial insurance products. This individual contributor role will focus initially on Cyber, Energy, Equipment Breakdown (EB), and Property lines.

The ideal candidate brings a consultative sales approach, strong broker relationships, and deep experience in Property & Casualty (P&C) and Financial lines.

Key Responsibilities
Identify, engage, and secure new business opportunities with local, regional, and national firms across EB, Cyber, Energy, and Property lines.
Develop strong relationships across retail and wholesale broker distribution channels.
Manage the full sales lifecycle: pipeline development, qualification, proposal delivery, and binding key accounts.
Partner with underwriting to structure profitable solutions aligned with risk appetite.
Manage renewals and support client retention within the assigned territory.
Lead account reviews and stewardship meetings with brokers and insureds.
Identify growth opportunities through cross-selling and coverage enhancements.
Collaborate with underwriting, claims, engineering, marketing, and product teams to deliver a strong client experience.
Represent the organization at industry events, broker meetings, and client engagements.
Maintain territory plans, monitor production metrics, and support forecasting and reporting.
Provide market intelligence and broker feedback to support product and service improvements.

Required Experience & Skills
10+ years of experience in Property & Casualty or Surplus Lines insurance.
Strong experience in Financial Lines, Cyber, Energy, Equipment Breakdown, and Property products.
Proven track record of business development, broker relationship management, and territory growth.
Experience working with regional and national brokerages.
Strong consultative selling, presentation, and negotiation skills.
Ability to collaborate cross-functionally with underwriting, claims, and product teams.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
Bachelor s degree in Sales, Marketing, Business, or related field preferred.
