Job Overview:
This position is for a Unix L3 specialist to join the Unix Critinfra Support Team. The role involves providing SRE support to the firm's critical infrastructure (Oxygen Systems) in a Follow-The-Sun model. The candidate will be responsible for rotational on-call support, weekend project work, proactive health and hygiene tasks to maintain operational stability, and compliance for risk and control programs. Additionally, the role includes collaboration with engineering teams to test and certify new hardware and software products, engaging with clients to understand business demands, and onboarding new UNIX assets for growth or large programs such as new datacenter build-outs.

Qualifications:
- 6+ years of Unix/Linux Administration Enterprise Level Experience in large, distributed environments.
- Experience in Project Management, Incident & Change Management, and Reporting.
- In-depth knowledge of Linux (Red Hat) and good knowledge of Solaris.
- Detailed knowledge of TCP/IP and associated technologies (NFS, NIS, DNS, DHCP).
- Expertise in Unix system monitoring and reporting.
- Knowledge of server firmware upgrades and time synchronization technologies (NTP/Time Keeper).
- Proficiency in vulnerability assessment and server patching.
- Programming-level knowledge of Shell, Perl/Python.
- Strong troubleshooting skills with a focus on automation and resolution.
- Effective oral and written communication skills and the ability to work in a global team environment.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks and high-pressure situations.
Skills/Certifications Desired:
- Knowledge of Infoblox DDI solution.
- Certification in RedHat Enterprise Linux.
- Knowledge of Veritas Cluster Server or similar high availability products.
- Experience with Ansible, OpenShift, Kubernetes.
- Expertise in Veritas Volume Manager.
- Prior experience working in the financial services industry.
