Position OverviewInternational Motors is seeking a highly skilled and motivated
Senior Engineer. This position will be responsible for various technical activities supporting the certification and compliance of International branded products. This position includes direct involvement with product development teams guiding them through the development of regulatory requirements through the generation and submission of data to both the USEPA and CARB. This position will also be responsible for facilitating and managing the testing of vehicles for compliance to CARB and USEPA OBD (On Board Diagnostics) and emissions regulations . The position supports the documenting/updating of processes and requirements to support regulatory and internal requirements. This position will interface with cross-functional teams throughout the organization communicating testing status and issue resolution.
This position will be located at Lisle with potential domestic and international travel requirements of up to 25%Responsibilities- Collaborate with global engineering teams, manufacturing facilities, suppliers, and stakeholders to ensure successful project execution.
- Execute engineering work with a high degree of independence, operating from general direction on routine tasks and more detailed guidance on new or complex assignments
- Analyze technical requirements and translate them into detailed engineering specifications.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards, regulatory requirements, and company quality processes.
- Mentor junior engineers and provide technical leadership across project teams.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives.
- Conducts various OBD compliance testing (L1, L2, L3, & MST).
- Conducts "In-Use" compliance emissions testing.
- Reviews and analyzes results for accuracy for submittal to regulating agencies
- Documents and updates procedures in support of PCMS.
- Supports the OBD and emissions application teams.
- Report out testing status to various audiences (daily/weekly)
Minimum Requirements- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology or Computer Science and at least 1 year of product design/development and/or computer science experience
OR
- Master's degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology or Computer Science

Desired Skills- Experience in truck and/or automotive design and development processes
- Experience within the commercial vehicle, heavy-duty truck, or automotive industry
- Experience working with global engineering teams and suppliers
- Proficiency with 3D CAD modeling software (any platform)
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, including experience delivering formal presentations
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Project
- Problem Solving
- Experience with emissions and/or OBD certification/compliance testing
- Powertrain calibration experience
