Senior Oracle Developer & Database Administrator (DBA)- Remote (CST)

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Oracle Developer & Database Administrator (DBA) to support and maintain mission-critical enterprise database environments. The ideal candidate will bring extensive experience in Oracle database administration, advanced PL/SQL development, production support, performance tuning, database migration, and cloud initiatives within AWS and Red Hat Linux environments. This role requires a strong technical leader who can ensure high availability, optimize database performance, and provide end-to-end support for critical systems.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop, maintain, and enhance Oracle PL/SQL packages, procedures, functions, triggers, and database objects.
• Provide Level 2/Level 3 production support and troubleshoot critical database-related issues.
• Perform data analysis, data corrections, and issue resolution activities.
• Administer Oracle databases including installation, configuration, upgrades, patching, backup, and recovery processes.
• Design and implement materialized views and performance optimization strategies.
• Support database migration initiatives across on-premise environments, AWS platforms, and Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL).
• Monitor database health and proactively identify and resolve performance bottlenecks.
• Manage database security, user access, and permission administration.
• Execute deployment activities, release management, and post-deployment validation tasks.
• Collaborate with development, infrastructure, and DevOps teams to maintain system reliability and operational excellence.
• Conduct root cause analysis and recommend preventive solutions for recurring issues.

Required Skills:

• Strong hands-on experience with Oracle Database Administration (DBA).
• Advanced Oracle PL/SQL development expertise.
• Experience supporting production environments and incident management.
• Strong SQL query optimization and database performance tuning skills.
• Experience with materialized views, partitioning, and performance monitoring tools.
• Hands-on experience with Oracle database upgrades and migration projects.
• Experience with AWS services including RDS, EC2, DMS, S3, and CloudWatch.
• Experience supporting Oracle databases on Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL).
• Strong understanding of RMAN, Data Pump, backup/recovery processes, and disaster recovery planning.
• Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with Oracle RAC and Data Guard.
• Linux/Unix shell scripting experience.
• Exposure to DevOps methodologies and CI/CD processes.
• Experience supporting large-scale enterprise production environments.
