Senior Business Analyst

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce has a client in North Salt Lake, UT that is in need of a Technical Business Analyst who can bridge the gap between business stakeholders and technical teams. This position requires someone with strong technical aptitude who can proactively uncover needs, ask the right questions, document requirements, and translate business objectives into clear technical requirements. The ideal candidate will be proactive, engaging, thorough, and technically curious. This person should be comfortable working closely with both business stakeholders and technologists and have a demonstrated ability to build trusted working relationships across teams.

Responsibilities:
* Partner with business and technical stakeholders to understand needs, challenges, and desired outcomes
* Lead discovery sessions and requirements-gathering conversations
* Translate business needs into clear, actionable technical requirements
* Create and maintain detailed requirements, process documentation, and supporting technical documentation
* Proactively identify gaps, dependencies, risks, and unanswered questions rather than waiting for direction
* Serve as a liaison between business stakeholders, developers, database teams, and other technical groups
* Ask technical questions and dig beneath surface-level requirements to understand how systems, applications, and processes interact
* Facilitate productive conversations between stakeholders with different technical backgrounds
* Build strong working relationships and establish trust with both technical and non-technical partners
* Follow requirements and issues through resolution while maintaining clear communication across teams
* Bring a thorough, reliable, and collaborative approach to cross-functional initiatives

REQUIREMENTS:
* Professional experience as a Technical Business Analyst or in a similar technical requirements-focused role
* Demonstrated experience with requirements gathering, discovery, analysis, and documentation
* Strong technical aptitude and ability to understand technical systems, dependencies, and concepts
* Demonstrated ability to take a proactive approach to business analysis, including identifying needs, uncovering gaps, and driving discovery
* Strong interpersonal and communication skills with an engaging, personable approach
* Ability to build trusted working relationships with developers, engineers, database professionals, and other technologists
* Ability to communicate effectively between business and technical stakeholders
* Strong attention to detail with a reputation for being thorough, dependable, and collaborative

Experience working with at least one of the following:
* Database administration or database-focused teams
* Software development/programming teams
* Web services and system integrations

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
