Cable Technician

Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced Low Voltage Cabling Technician to support commercial cabling projects throughout New York City. The ideal
candidate will have hands-on experience with CAT5/CAT6 cabling, terminations, testing, and installation of supporting infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities

• Pull, route, terminate, and label CAT5/CAT6 network cabling
• Perform terminations on patch panels, jacks, and RJ45 connectors
• Test and certify installed cables in accordance with industry and company standards
• Install various cable support structures including:
  • Cable racks
  • J-hooks
  • Innerduct
  • Ladder racks
  • Related pathways and hardware
• Read and interpret cabling layouts, floor plans, and documentation
• Maintain clean, organized, and safe work environments on job sites

Required Skills & Qualifications

• 1-3+ years of structured cabling or low-voltage installation experience
• Strong understanding of CAT5/CAT6 network cabling
• Ability to perform copper terminations and cable testing
• Experience working in commercial environments (offices, data centers, construction sites)
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work on ladders/scissor lifts as needed
• Reliable transportation to travel to NYC job sites
• Strong attention to detail and safety awareness

Job Type & Location
This is a Contract position based out of New York, NY.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $28.00/hr.
