Production Machinist

Mastech Digital provides digital and mainstream technology staff as well as Digital Transformation Services for all American Corporations. We are currently seeking a Production Machinist for our client in the Design and Manufacturing domain. We value our professionals, providing comprehensive benefits and the opportunity for growth. This is a Contract position, and the client is looking for someone to start immediately.

Duration: 6+ Months Contract

Location: Middlefield, CT

Salary: $28.00-$32.00/Hourly

Working Hours: 6am-12pm OR 7am-1pm

Role: Production Machinist

Primary Skills: Engineering

Role Description: The Production Machinist must have 5+ years of experience.

Responsibilities:

- Set up and operate manual and NC milling machines, and grinders to fabricate precision components, tolerances to 0.005mm

- Interpret technical drawings, and tooling sheets to ensure accurate machining

- Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints, technical drawings, and GD&T

- Strong math skills and problem-solving skills

- Conduct thorough inspections using precision measuring equipment, height gauges, micrometers, and calipers, to verify conformance to specifications

- Troubleshoot machining issues and optimize equipment performance

- Perform rework and modification of production parts including removal of broken screws, surface repairs, etc.

- Great care in attention to detail and cosmetic quality is required

- Ability to work independently without significant supervision.

- Good work ethic and ability to concentrate and complete assignments within expected time

- Experience with manual and NC lathes is a plus.

Education: Bachelor?s degree
