Location:

• San Diego, CA (2 Positions)

Shift Timings (Rotational):

• 7:00 AM - 2:00 PM
• 2:00 PM - 10:00 PM
• 10:00 PM - 7:00 AM

Job Summary:

We are seeking a hands-on Senior ATE Technician to support day-to-day operations of Automated Test Equipment (ATE) in a semiconductor production environment. This role focuses on equipment handling, maintenance, and production floor support, not test development.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform docking and undocking of ATE testers with handlers
• Install and maintain Load Boards / Device Interface Boards (DIBs)
• Ensure proper pogo-pin alignment to prevent damage or poor contact
• Execute kit changeovers (sockets, plungers, stiffeners) for different SoC products
• Conduct continuity and isolation checks
• Perform load board debugging and validation
• Support pin/socket repair and replacement
• Run tester calibration and diagnostics to maintain uptime
• Execute daily test plans and run test programs as directed
• Collect and log test data for analysis
• Support shipping and receiving of test equipment

Required Skills:

• 5+ years of experience as ATE Technician / Test Equipment Technician
• Hands-on experience with:
  • ATE systems (Advantest, Teradyne, or similar)
  • Load boards / DIBs
  • Handlers and test cells
• Strong experience in:
  • Hardware troubleshooting
  • Calibration & diagnostics
  • Production test support
• Familiarity with:
  • Continuity / isolation testing
  • Pin/socket repair
• Comfortable working in rotational shifts (including nights)

Preferred Skills:

• Semiconductor / electronics manufacturing experience
• Experience supporting production test floor operations
• Basic understanding of test programs (execution only, not development)
