Sr. AWS Engineer

Important: This is an onsite position. Consultants must report to the client location.

Note: The client is looking to fill two positions immediately due to recent consultant departures.

Skills:

·        10+ years of experience working for US-based companies within the United States.

·        7+ years of experience with cloud-based architecture (AWS and/or Google Cloud Platform).

·        6+ years of extensive experience with cloud-based Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS), primarily AWS.

·        6+ years of experience with automated configuration management tools such as Puppet, Ansible, Terraform, and CloudFormation.

·        5+ years of experience with distributed version control tools such as Git.

·        7+ years of experience with web technologies including ASP.NET MVC, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and jQuery.

·        7+ years of experience with SQL, Microsoft T-SQL, and database design.

·        Strong experience serving as a subject matter expert for AWS and enterprise system architecture.

·        Recent experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins.

·        Recent experience with monitoring tools including Nagios, CloudWatch, and Prometheus.

·        Experience maintaining relational database systems, including PostgreSQL.

·        Experience with SOA architecture, Windows Communication Foundation (WCF), and Web API.

·        Experience with .NET C# 4.5 and above.

·        Experience with modern JavaScript frameworks such as Angular, React.js, or Vue.js.

·        Proven experience designing and building scalable, enterprise-level solutions.

Education:

·        Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field preferred (or equivalent experience).

Consultants will be responsible for:

Designing, developing, and maintaining complex software systems.

Performing requirements analysis, technical analysis, software design, and peer reviews.

Providing technical documentation for implementation, deployment, and QA teams.

Learning business processes and supporting existing enterprise applications.

Collaborating with development, infrastructure, and cloud teams to deliver reliable solutions.
