Role: SAP GTS Architect - International Trade Compliance
Location: Remote
Duration: 12 months contract

Job Description:
The SAP GTS Architect will lead the design and implementation of integrated trade compliance solutions, ensuring adherence to international trade regulations with a strong focus on SAP Global Trade Services (GTS) and SAP S/4HANA environments. This role supports complex global trade scenarios, particularly within regulated industries such as aerospace and defense.

Key Responsibilities

• Architect and design end-to-end SAP GTS solutions aligned with international trade compliance requirements.
• Lead SAP GTS integration with SAP S/4HANA and non-SAP feeder systems to ensure seamless trade processes.
• Configure and optimize SAP GTS across core functional areas:
  • Compliance Management: Embargo control, sanctioned party screening, and legal control checks (ITAR/EAR compliance for defense sector).
  • Customs Management: Automated customs processing, electronic declarations, ATLAS integration, and multi-jurisdiction classifications.
  • Preference Management: Origin determination, FTA processing, supplier declarations, and duty optimization.
  • Intrastat Reporting.
• Implement and support compliance check functionalities across global business transactions.
• Support customs processing, preference determination, and regulatory reporting to ensure ongoing compliance.
• Collaborate with business and technical teams to align trade compliance solutions with aerospace and defense customer requirements.
• Monitor evolving international trade regulations and proactively adjust system configurations to maintain compliance.
• Provide technical leadership, troubleshooting, and guidance for SAP GTS-related issues.
• Integrate SAP GTS with document management systems for trade documentation and audit readiness.

Required Skills & Experience

• Strong hands-on expertise in SAP Global Trade Services (GTS).
• Proven experience integrating SAP GTS with SAP S/4HANA.
• Deep knowledge of international trade compliance regulations (ITAR/EAR preferred).
• Experience supporting complex global supply chain and customs operations.
• Ability to work across multiple regions, regulations, and product classifications.
