Business Analyst

Location & Work Arrangement

• City, State: Richmond, VA
• Work Arrangement: 100% Onsite Required.
• Interview Mode: In-person only.
• Shift: Monday Friday, EST.

Key Responsibilities

1. Standards & Quality Assurance

• Establish and refine consistent BA methodologies, templates, and documentation standards.
• Oversee the production of high-quality Business Requirement Documents (BRDs), Requirements Traceability Matrices (RTMs), User Stories, and Process Flows.
• Validate requirements to ensure technical feasibility, business value, and alignment with organizational goals.
• Support comprehensive testing approaches, including functional, non-functional, and data-related requirements.

2. Team Leadership & Mentorship

• Serve as a mentor for a team of 8-10 BAs, coaching them on analytical skills and career growth.
• Identify opportunities to improve BA processes and tools, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
• Model accountability and transparency while removing technical and procedural roadblocks for the team.

3. Stakeholder Alignment & Facilitation

• Act as a trusted liaison between business units, IT teams, and vendor partners.
• Facilitate discovery sessions, workshops, and cross-functional discussions to drive shared understanding.
• Present recommendations and project updates to senior leadership with clarity and confidence.

Required Skills & Experience

Preferred Qualifications

• Methodologies: Deep proficiency in Agile (Scrum/Kanban) and Waterfall environments.
• Tools: Expert use of Jira, Azure DevOps, and process modeling tools.
• Domain Knowledge: Background in data governance, integration, or quality.
• Practice Building: Experience shaping a BA Center of Excellence (CoE) or organizational standards.
• Education: Bachelor's degree in Business, IT, or a related field.
