Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Infrastructure Architect with deep expertise in F5 load balancing and enterprise network architecture. This role will focus on designing and evolving the organizations long-term F5 and load balancing strategy while supporting modernization initiatives. The ideal candidate will bring a strong architectural mindset, combined with hands-on engineering experience to assist during complex production incidents.
This position is part of the Network Application Services team, supporting enterprise-scale environments across DNS, load balancing, and traffic management platforms.
Key Responsibilities:
Own and drive the long-term architecture and strategy for F5 load balancing platforms across the enterprise.
Design and implement scalable, secure, and resilient load balancing solutions supporting high-volume application traffic.
Provide architectural leadership across both Global Traffic Management (GTM) and Local Traffic Management (LTM) environments.
Support integration between DNS and F5 platforms, ensuring efficient global traffic routing and availability.
Lead modernization initiatives to reduce reliance on complex iRules and improve automation, standardization, and maintainability.
Evaluate current infrastructure, identify vulnerabilities, and design improved solutions aligned with business and security requirements.
Provide governance, standards, and best practices for load balancing and network traffic management.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams including network, application, security, and cloud teams.
Participate in troubleshooting and hands-on support during complex or critical production incidents.
Guide enterprise adoption of new technologies and architectural patterns related to traffic management and application delivery.
Required Skills and Experience:
Deep hands-on and architectural experience with F5 load balancing platforms, including GTM and LTM.
Strong expertise in Layer 4 and Layer 7 traffic management, routing, and optimization.
Experience working with DNS architectures and traffic routing strategies.
Proven ability to design enterprise-scale load balancing and high-availability solutions.
Strong understanding of network protocols, security, and application traffic flows.
Experience evaluating system vulnerabilities and designing improved, secure solutions.
Ability to operate at both strategic and hands-on levels when required.
Experience working in large, complex enterprise environments.
Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
