Job Description:

We are seeking a Data Product Owner / Technical Product Manager with strong SQL skills and experience working with technical products, data platforms, engineering teams, and enterprise systems.

The ideal candidate will define technical product vision, manage roadmaps, translate business needs into technical requirements, and collaborate closely with engineering, architecture, and business stakeholders. Strong SQL knowledge is required, and candidates must be prepared to complete a SQL assessment before submission.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Define and communicate a compelling technical product vision.
  • Develop and manage roadmaps for platforms and systems.
  • Align technical products with enterprise architecture, business objectives, and long-term sustainability goals.
  • Serve as the primary liaison between engineering, architecture, and business stakeholders.
  • Translate business needs into clear technical requirements.
  • Lead backlog refinement and prioritization for technical features, platform enhancements, and infrastructure capabilities.
  • Balance technical debt, scalability, sustainability, and business value.
  • Gather insights from internal users and stakeholders to identify pain points and opportunities.
  • Partner with engineering, architecture, and design teams to support successful product delivery.
  • Facilitate decision-making and remove project roadblocks.
  • Define and track technical KPIs and OKRs related to platform performance, reliability, and business impact.
  • Ensure compliance with data governance policies and applicable privacy requirements.
  • Mentor Product Owners and team members in technical product management and Agile practices.
  • Stay current with emerging technologies, industry trends, and technical product management best practices.
  • Make strategic trade-offs to optimize scalability, sustainability, and enterprise value.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related technical field, or equivalent experience.
  • 3-5+ years of experience in product ownership or technical product management.
  • Strong experience delivering complex technical solutions.
  • Strong SQL skills.
  • Experience working in Agile environments.
  • Experience collaborating with engineering and architecture teams.
  • Understanding of platform development, data design principles, APIs, cloud infrastructure, and enterprise systems.
  • Experience with requirements gathering, documentation, user story writing, backlog management, and prioritization.
  • Experience with Snowflake or similar cloud data platforms.
