Senior DevOps Engineer – 10+ Years Experience

Job Overview

We are looking for an experienced Senior DevOps Engineer with 10+ years of IT experience to design, implement, and manage scalable, secure, and highly available cloud infrastructure and CI/CD platforms. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience with AWS/Azure, Kubernetes, Terraform, Docker, CI/CD, Git, Linux, and automation.

The candidate will work closely with development, architecture, security, and operations teams to improve deployment automation, infrastructure reliability, application performance, and overall software delivery.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain highly available and scalable cloud infrastructure across AWS and/or Azure.

• Develop and manage CI/CD pipelines for automated application build, testing, deployment, and release management.

• Implement Infrastructure as Code using Terraform, CloudFormation, or ARM/Bicep.

• Deploy and manage containerized applications using Docker and Kubernetes.

• Work with Amazon EKS, ECS, Azure AKS, or similar container orchestration platforms.

• Implement GitOps practices using tools such as Argo CD and Flux.

• Manage source-code repositories and branching strategies using GitHub, GitLab, or Bitbucket.

• Develop automation scripts using Python, Bash, PowerShell, or Shell scripting.

• Configure and maintain cloud services including compute, networking, storage, IAM, monitoring, and security.

• Implement centralized logging, monitoring, alerting, and observability using tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, CloudWatch, Azure Monitor, Dynatrace, or Splunk.

• Implement DevSecOps practices by integrating security and vulnerability scanning into CI/CD pipelines.

• Manage secrets, certificates, access controls, and cloud security configurations.

• Troubleshoot application, infrastructure, networking, deployment, and production issues.

• Participate in incident management, root-cause analysis, and production support.

• Implement high-availability, disaster-recovery, backup, and business-continuity solutions.

• Optimize cloud infrastructure for performance, scalability, reliability, and cost.

• Collaborate with developers to improve application deployment and operational readiness.

• Establish DevOps standards, reusable pipeline templates, infrastructure modules, and automation frameworks.

• Mentor junior and mid-level DevOps engineers and provide technical leadership.

• Participate in architecture discussions and contribute to cloud and DevOps modernization initiatives.

• Experience leading DevOps/cloud initiatives and mentoring technical teams.

• Experience with Agile/Scrum development methodologies.

• Strong communication, troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
