Role Overview:
Seeking an experienced L3 Infrastructure Engineer to provide advanced support for network, server, data center, and plant-floor infrastructure. The candidate should be hands-on with complex troubleshooting, infrastructure administration, outage management, and customer-facing technical support.
Key Responsibilities:
- Troubleshoot and administer Cisco Layer 2/3 / Cisco PBX, Cabling, routing, switching, wireless, and VoIP environments.
- Support LAN/WAN, DHCP, DNS, VLAN, TCP/IP, and network traffic analysis.
- Administer Windows Server, Active Directory, GPO, DHCP, DNS, File Shares, and SCCM.
- Support data center hardware, servers, storage, SAN/NAS, and backup systems.
- Provide plant-floor IT support, including ANDON/PLC environments.
- Perform incident management, RCA, outage/problem management, and vendor escalation.
- Provide Smart Hands/site support and maintain accurate ticket documentation.
- Participate in 24x7 on-call, weekends, overtime, and flexible shifts.
Required Skills
- 7+ years of L3 Infrastructure / IT Support experience.
- Strong Cisco networking and CCNA-level knowledge.
- Windows Server, Active Directory, GPO, and SCCM.
- Data Center / Server Room experience.
- Strong troubleshooting and communication skills.
- Manufacturing/plant environment experience preferred.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field.
Other Must-Have Attributes for Level 3:
- Ability to lift 50 lbs. and be able to climb ladders and staircases to access IT equipment
- Ready to travel to other Toyota sites/locations within the US to support on a short basis.
- Strong team worker with professional demeanor and strong ethics
- Good written and oral communication skills are required
- Experience with remote control tools and remote support (off-site)
- Ongoing support of various Manufacturing computer systems
- Windows Active Directory: Maintenance kiosks, OU configuration, Group Policy Objects
- Change Management process
- Associate or bachelor’s degree in computer information systems, Computer Science or related field
- TMMBC English 50%-100% Competence
Nice To Have:
- Experience and/or knowledge of PLC’s a plus.
- Plant monitoring software knowledge (Active Plant, Wonderware, Ignition)
- Knowledge of iGear, Kepware, or other machine data gathering tools
- SQL Server database administration (backups, security, monitoring, etc.)
- Manage storage and backup systems
- Previous experience supporting a large corporate, manufacturing environment
- Experience supporting and troubleshooting Business and mission-critical applications
- 3 to 5 years of experience performing Level 3 responsibilities
