Role Summary
Experience: 10-12+ years (Fintech / Payments preferred)

We are seeking an experienced Product Owner with strong Fintech and Payments domain expertise to own and drive the delivery of payment products and platforms. The ideal candidate will work closely with business stakeholders, engineering teams, and external partners to translate business needs into clear product requirements, ensuring scalable, secure, and compliant payment solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Own and manage the product backlog for payment and money movement capabilities (cards, ACH, wires, RTP, wallets, digital payments).
• Translate business and regulatory requirements into epics, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
• Act as the primary interface between business stakeholders, engineering, QA, and architecture teams.
• Prioritize features based on business value, regulatory needs, risk, and technical dependencies.
• Lead sprint planning, backlog grooming, reviews, and demos in an Agile/Scrum environment.
• Ensure solutions comply with PCI-DSS, SOX, KYC/AML, and other regulatory standards.
• Collaborate with external vendors, processors, and payment networks.
• Support UAT, defect triage, and release readiness.
• Track and report on product KPIs, delivery milestones, and risk items.
• Contribute to product roadmaps aligned with business and platform strategy.

Required Skills & Experience

Domain Expertise

• Strong experience in Payments & Fintech, including:
• Card payments (Credit/Debit)
• ACH, Wires, RTP, ISO 20022
• Payment gateways and processors
• Digital wallets and money movement platforms

Product & Agile Skills

• Proven experience as a Product Owner in Agile/Scrum teams
• Expertise in backlog management, story writing, and prioritization
• Hands-on experience with Jira, Confluence, or similar tools
• Strong understanding of API-based platforms and integrations

Technical & Compliance Knowledge

• REST APIs, event-driven systems, and microservices
• Data mapping, data integrity, and reconciliation flows
• Familiarity with PCI, AML, KYC, and regulatory compliance

Soft Skills

• Excellent stakeholder communication and negotiation skills
• Strong analytical and problem-solving ability
• Ability to work in fast-paced, cross-functional environments

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working with banks, payment processors, or fintech startups
• Exposure to cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud Platform)
• Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO) or equivalent
• Experience with global or cross-border payments
