Now Hiring: Electronic Technician (Navigation Systems) - Direct Hire
Location: Newington, NH
Pay Rate: $65,000 - $80,000 per year
Are you an experienced Electronic Technician with strong troubleshooting, networking, and navigation systems expertise? Join a professional maritime operations team where you'll work with advanced shipboard electronics, computer networks, radar systems, GPS technology, and automation controls while supporting critical offshore operations around the world.
Job Duties
- Maintain shipboard navigation, communication, CCTV, safety, and automation control systems
- Troubleshoot and support shipboard computer networks while following cybersecurity standards
- Assist with maintenance of radar, GPS, ECDIS, and Dynamic Positioning systems
- Perform upgrades and repairs to electronic and computer systems
- Monitor and coordinate electronic maintenance activities during shipyard projects
- Manage equipment inventory and documentation
- Support offshore deployments for periods up to two months
- Collaborate with ship personnel, engineering teams, and equipment vendors
Education Requirements
- Associate degree in Electronics Technology, Computer Science, or related field preferred
- Equivalent military training considered
Experience Requirements
- 5+ years of experience troubleshooting and maintaining electronic equipment
- Experience with network administration and computer systems
- Experience with shipboard navigation systems preferred
- Ability to read and interpret electronic schematics
- Knowledge of RS-232, RS-422, and RS-485 communication protocols preferred
- Security+ certification preferred
- GROL certification preferred (required after hire)
Physical Capabilities
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
- Able to pass a physical examination for offshore deployment
- Must be eligible to obtain a U.S. Department of Defense security clearance
- Available for worldwide travel and extended sea assignments
