Summary

Role: API Architect

Location: Phoenix, AZ (Onsite role)

Summary:
We are seeking an experienced API Architect to design, develop, and govern scalable, secure, and high-performance APIs that enable seamless integration across enterprise systems and digital platforms.

Key Responsibilities:

Define API architecture, standards, and best practices (REST, GraphQL, microservices)
Design reusable, scalable, and secure APIs for enterprise applications
Lead API lifecycle management including design, development, versioning, and deprecation
Ensure API security (OAuth2, JWT, OpenID Connect) and compliance standards
Collaborate with engineering, product, and integration teams
Implement API gateways and management platforms (Apigee, MuleSoft, Kong, AWS API Gateway)
Drive API documentation and developer experience improvements
Monitor API performance, scalability, and reliability
