ResiliEnt Business Solutions is seeking an experienced Oracle PL/SQL Data Modeler Developer to design, develop, maintain, and optimize enterprise-level data models and database solutions. This position will support existing mission-critical applications and new projects as assigned.

The ideal candidate will have 10+ years of experience with Oracle database development and data modeling, advanced PL/SQL development skills, and extensive hands-on experience with Erwin Data Modeler or a similar data modeling tool.

The successful candidate will be responsible for interpreting business requirements, developing functional database code, performing unit testing, troubleshooting and resolving defects in legacy applications, and supporting production implementations. The candidate must be a strong team player and communicator who can effectively collaborate across technical and business teams and work with source control across multiple simultaneous development branches.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and maintain logical and physical data models for enterprise Oracle database environments.
  • Analyze business requirements and develop data models in collaboration with business analysts and technical teams.
  • Develop, maintain, and optimize complex Oracle SQL and PL/SQL, including packages, procedures, functions, triggers, and queries.
  • Use Erwin Data Modeler to create, maintain, and document enterprise data models.
  • Translate business and application requirements into scalable, efficient, and maintainable database designs.
  • Analyze existing database structures and recommend improvements to performance, scalability, maintainability, and data integrity.
  • Perform data analysis, database design, normalization, schema optimization, indexing, and constraint design.
  • Develop clean, scalable, and maintainable database code.
  • Participate in requirements analysis and technical design activities.
  • Unit test database and application components and prepare solutions for deployment.
  • Troubleshoot, debug, revise, update, and refactor existing and legacy code.
  • Support database development, testing, troubleshooting, and production implementation activities.
  • Collaborate with application developers, architects, business analysts, and other internal teams.
  • Create and maintain technical and database documentation as required.
  • Work effectively with source-control systems and multiple simultaneous development branches.
  • Provide production support and assist with complex technical issues.
  • Provide third-tier support to the help desk, including assigned weekend and holiday coverage when required.
  • Follow technical direction from senior developers and contribute effectively as part of a collaborative development team.

Required Qualifications

  • 10+ years of professional experience in Oracle database development and data modeling.
  • Advanced hands-on knowledge of Oracle SQL and PL/SQL.
  • Strong hands-on experience with Erwin Data Modeler or a comparable enterprise data modeling tool.
  • Extensive experience developing logical and physical data models.
  • Strong understanding of relational database concepts, including:
    • Database normalization
    • Entity relationships
    • Indexing
    • Constraints
    • Schema design
    • Database performance optimization
  • Experience working with large, complex enterprise databases.
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze business requirements and translate them into technical database solutions.
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Experience developing, testing, debugging, and maintaining enterprise database applications.
  • Ability to work effectively with developers, architects, business analysts, and other stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with TOAD for Oracle.
  •  Experience supporting mission-critical or legacy enterprise applications.
  • Experience working with formal source-control processes and multiple development branches.
  • Experience providing production and third-tier application/database support.

Requirements

·        Proven experience as a PL/SQL using Toad, SQL Plus (minimum 5 years)

·        Ability to create views, packages, functions, and stored procedures

·        Ability to work with collections

·        Ability to work with async processes

·        Interpret execution plans and optimize queries and functions

·        Ability to create complex DML and debug

·        Excellent troubleshooting and communication skills

·        Attention to detail is of the utmost importance

·        BS/BA in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience with at least 5 years of development experience
