Summary

Senior Architect Omnissa Intelligence & Digital Workspace Analytics

Digital Employee Experience (DEX) & End-User Computing (EUC) Platform Architecture

Department

IT Infrastructure & Digital Workplace Engineering

Reports To

Director of Digital Workplace / VP of IT Operations

Level

Senior / Principal Architect (Individual Contributor, cross-team technical authority)

About the Role

We are seeking a Senior Architect to own the strategy, design, and enterprise-wide implementation of Omnissa Intelligence as the analytics and automation backbone of our digital workspace platform. This role sits at the intersection of Workspace ONE UEM, Horizon, Omnissa Access, and third-party security ecosystems, and is accountable for turning fragmented endpoint, application, and virtual desktop telemetry into a governed, automated, and business-relevant intelligence layer. You will set architectural standards, lead complex integrations, and act as the technical authority guiding engineering, security, and helpdesk teams on how digital experience data is captured, correlated, and acted upon.

Key Responsibilities
Architecture & Strategy
  • Own the end-to-end architecture of Omnissa Intelligence across UEM, Horizon, and Access-managed environments, including data ingestion, correlation models, and multi-tenant/multi-org design.
  • Define the reference architecture for telemetry aggregation from Workspace ONE Intelligent Hub, the Horizon agent, and third-party integrations, ensuring scalability across hybrid cloud and on-prem deployments.
  • Establish governance standards for dashboards, KPIs, and data retention across the Omnissa platform's shared services (data, workflows, AI/ML, identity).
  • Produce and maintain architecture decision records (ADRs), high-level and low-level design documents, and platform roadmaps aligned to enterprise IT strategy.
Automation & Integration
  • Architect low-code automation workflows using Freestyle Orchestrator to drive proactive remediation (patch orchestration, configuration drift correction, automated ticket creation and escalation).
  • Lead integration of Trust Network partners (e.g., Mobile Threat Defense, CASB solutions) into Omnissa Intelligence for unified contextual risk scoring and automated threat response.
  • Design and oversee ITSM integrations (e.g., ServiceNow via the Workspace ONE ITSM Connector) so Intelligence insights flow directly into incident and problem management processes.
  • Evaluate and integrate Omni, the platform's embedded AI assistant, into support and analytics workflows to accelerate root-cause investigation.
Operational Ownership & Optimization
  • Serve as the escalation point for complex root-cause analysis spanning endpoints, network, virtual desktop sessions (Horizon/RDSH), and application performance.
  • Define and track enterprise DEX KPIs - device compliance, boot/login times, app crash and hang rates, sentiment scores, VDI session health - and present trends and recommendations to senior IT leadership.
  • Continuously tune experience scoring and machine-learning-driven insights to reflect real-world user pain points, validating against employee feedback loops.
  • Drive capacity planning, licensing strategy, and cost optimization for the Omnissa Intelligence service and its data connectors.
Leadership & Enablement
  • Mentor DEX analysts, EUC engineers, and helpdesk/L2 teams on interpreting Intelligence dashboards and acting on automated insights.
  • Partner with security, network, and infrastructure architecture teams to ensure Intelligence-driven automation aligns with broader enterprise risk and compliance requirements.
  • Represent the digital workplace architecture function in vendor discussions with Omnissa, influencing product roadmap feedback and early adoption of new platform capabilities.
Required Qualifications
  • 8+ years in end-user computing, digital workplace, or IT infrastructure roles, including 3+ years in an architect-level capacity.
  • Demonstrated, applied hands-on experience architecting or operating Omnissa Intelligence (or its predecessor, Workspace ONE Intelligence) in a large-scale production environment - not certification-only exposure.
  • Deep working knowledge of Workspace ONE UEM and Horizon architectures, since Intelligence's data model is built on telemetry from both.
  • Proven experience designing and deploying low-code/no-code automation workflows (Freestyle Orchestrator or equivalent orchestration tooling).
  • Strong grasp of EUC/DEX architecture principles: device compliance frameworks, application performance monitoring, VDI session health, and sentiment/experience analytics.
  • Experience correlating multi-source telemetry (endpoint, network, virtual environment, security) to drive root-cause analysis at scale.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and technical communication skills, with experience presenting architecture and outcomes to executive audiences.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience architecting integrations with Trust Network security partners (e.g., Lookout Mobile Threat Defense, Netskope CASB).
  • Background integrating ITSM platforms (ServiceNow, etc.) with EUC telemetry and automation pipelines.
  • Omnissa/VMware architect-level certifications (e.g., Digital Workspace, UEM, or Horizon specialist/expert tracks).
  • Scripting/automation development skills (PowerShell, Python) for extending native workflow capabilities.
  • Prior experience in a platform or enterprise architect role spanning multiple EUC product families (Workspace ONE, Horizon, Access).
What Success Looks Like
  • A governed, scalable Omnissa Intelligence architecture that reliably surfaces actionable insight across the digital workspace estate.
  • Measurable reduction in mean-time-to-resolution through automated remediation and ITSM integration.
  • A documented, adopted architecture standard that other EUC and security teams build against with confidence.
