Summary

Job Description:

We are seeking a highly motivated Platform Support Engineer to support and enhance enterprise Python analytics and development platform hosted on Linux infrastructure. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining platform stability, supporting enterprise Anaconda licensing and package management, enabling developer productivity, and ensuring platform security, compliance, and operational excellence.

This role requires a blend of Python platform expertise, DevOps practices, automation, monitoring, and customer-focused support to deliver a secure and reliable enterprise-grade analytics environment.

 

Responsibilities:

·       Administer and support enterprise Python environments across development, testing, and production platforms.

·       Create, manage, and maintain Conda and virtual Python environments.

·       Manage package dependencies, environment standards, and platform configurations.

·       Troubleshoot Python runtime, package, and environment-related issues.

·       Administer enterprise Anaconda Business licensing, including user provisioning, deprovisioning, and license utilization reporting.

·       Manage enterprise package repositories, channels, and package promotion processes.

·       Support package onboarding, validation, and deployment processes.

·       Ensure compliance with software licensing, open-source usage policies, and package governance requirements.

·       Collaborate with security and compliance teams to manage package risk assessments and remediation activities.

·       Monitor platform health, availability, and performance using enterprise monitoring and observability tools.

·       Investigate, diagnose, and resolve platform incidents within defined service-level agreements.

·       Perform root cause analysis for recurring issues and implement preventive measures.

·       Maintain operational runbooks, troubleshooting guides, and knowledge base documentation.

·       Participate in on-call support and major incident management activities as required.

·       Track and report operational metrics, service trends, and platform health indicators.

·       Provide technical support to developers, data scientists, and analytics teams using the enterprise Python platform.

·       Assist users with environment creation, package installation, dependency resolution, and platform onboarding.

·       Support Jupyter, IDE integrations, package repositories, and enterprise development workflows.

·       Develop automation scripts and workflows to improve platform efficiency and reduce operational overhead.

·       Perform vulnerability assessments and remediation activities for Python packages, operating systems, and platform components.

·       Support platform backup and recovery procedures for configurations, repositories, and critical platform components.

·       Participate in disaster recovery planning, testing, and execution activities.

 

Required Qualifications:

·       Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related discipline.

·       5–7+ years of experience supporting enterprise Python platforms, Linux systems, or analytics environments.

·       Strong experience with Python, Conda, Anaconda, and package management.

·       Strong Linux administration experience (RHEL, Rocky Linux, Ubuntu, or similar).

·       Experience with shell scripting and automation using Python.

·       Experience supporting enterprise monitoring and observability platforms.

·       Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

·       Excellent communication and customer support skills.

·       Experience with JupyterHub, Anaconda Business, Artifactory, Nexus, or private package repositories.

·       Experience supporting analytics, AI/ML, or data science platforms.

·       Familiarity with enterprise authentication technologies such as LDAP, Active Directory, SSO, and OAuth.
