Software Guidance & Assistance, Inc., (SGA), is searching for an SR PRODUCT OWNER, CRM for a CONTRACT assignment with one of our premier Sports clients in FLORIDA.

Job Description: Product Owner, CRM Program Organization Overview
The firm is the national governing body for tennis in the United States. Our mission is to promote and develop tennis at every level. We are currently undergoing a digital transformation to create a seamless, unified experience for players, fans, and coaches nationwide.
Role Purpose
As the Product Owner (PO) for the CRM Program, you will be the primary advocate for the customer and the strategic architect of our CRM features. Working at the intersection of business strategy and technical execution, you will lead CRM modernization initiatives, ensuring that our ecosystem acts as a "connective tissue " for the entire tennis community.

You will partner closely with Business Owners to align on vision, the Program Manager to ensure operational delivery, and the Business Analyst to refine technical requirements.
Key Responsibilities 1. Product Vision & Strategy
  • Define the Product Vision: In partnership with Business Owners, create unique product positioning, provide support to the marketing team, and chart the long-term product roadmap.
  • Convert Strategy to Tactics: Translate high-level product strategy into an executable tactical plan for the development team.
  • Create a "Shared Brain ": Align all stakeholders-including engineering, sales, marketing, and support-around a unified vision for the CRM product.
2. Agile Delivery & Backlog Management
  • Manage the Product Backlog: Own the ongoing list of task-level items; prioritize the development team's work to ensure maximum value delivery.
  • Sprint Planning: In our hybrid environment, work with the program and project manager to move items from the main product backlog to the sprint backlog before each sprint.
  • Define User Stories & Acceptance Criteria: Craft stories using plain-language descriptions and ensure they meet specific criteria supporting the technological plan.
  • User Acceptance Testing (UAT): Review developed features to ensure they support the overall product management plan.
3. Team Leadership & Collaboration
  • Internal Voice to Developers: Serve as the primary point of contact for the engineering team, translating vision into specific, actionable tasks.
  • Multi-Vendor Management: Drive outcomes across multi-vendor environments, providing direction to internal teams and external software partners.
  • Maintain Communication Flow: Act as the "hub, " keeping information flowing seamlessly among the Product, UX, and Development teams.
4. Customer Advocacy & Market Intelligence
  • Curate Ideas for New Products: Gather insights from Business Owners, Stakeholders, and Customers to curate viable ideas for innovative features.
  • Assess Competition: Monitor market data (Adobe Analytics, SEMRush, Google Trends, etc.) to understand the competitive landscape.
Role Clarity: The CRM Triad
  • Product Owner (You): Focuses on what we are building and why. You own the "Voice of the Customer, " the roadmap, the backlog, and the tactical direction of the dev team.
  • Program Manager: Focuses on how and when. They manage the budget, risks, cross-team dependencies, and overall program health.
  • Business Analyst: Focuses on the details. They translate your high-level requirements into deep functional specifications and technical documentation.
Required Qualifications
  • Transformation Leadership: Proven success leading CRM modernization or digital transformation initiatives.
  • Salesforce Expertise: Strong Salesforce CRM experience, including Sales, Service, Marketing Cloud, or similar environments.
  • Agile Expertise: Deep proficiency in Agile/Scrum methodologies, including writing user stories and managing sprint cycles.
  • Software Proficiency: Expert-level experience using Jira for backlog management, Confluence for documentation and collaboration, and Monday.com for project tracking and workflow management.
  • Organizational Navigation: Experience navigating complex, matrixed organizations and driving outcomes in multi-vendor environments.
  • Strategic & Tactical: Proven ability to define a vision and immediately translate it into a sequenced, actionable backlog.
  • Vendor Management: Experience providing direction to third-party software development vendors.
  • Communication: Exceptional ability to align diverse stakeholders and serve as a clear "voice " for the development team.
  • Data-Driven: Proficiency in using tools like Adobe Analytics, Google Trends, or ZenDesk to drive decision-making.
Preferred Experience
  • Industry Context: Prior experience within membership-based, sports, media, or consumer-focused organizations.
  • Platform Migration: Direct experience with CRM consolidation or legacy platform migration projects.
  • Certifications: SAFe POPM, CSPO, or similar product ownership certifications.
  • Global Delivery: Experience working with systems integrators and offshore development teams.
Technical Familiarity: Familiarity with integration platforms (MuleSoft, etc.) and analytics environments (Adobe Analytics).
