Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Senior Java Developer with 10+ years of hands-on experience in designing, developing, and supporting enterprise-scale applications. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in Core Java, Spring Boot, microservices, REST APIs, and distributed systems, with a focus on delivering scalable, secure, and high-performance backend solutions.
Candidates must demonstrate strong programming fundamentals, problem-solving skills, and the ability to independently develop, troubleshoot, and enhance complex applications.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, and maintain enterprise applications using Core Java, Spring Boot, and microservices.
- Build and integrate RESTful APIs and backend services.
- Develop event-driven applications using Apache Kafka or similar messaging platforms.
- Apply object-oriented programming principles, design patterns, and coding best practices.
- Develop database integrations, write complex SQL queries, and optimize application performance.
- Participate in code reviews, technical design discussions, unit testing, and integration testing.
- Troubleshoot application issues, conduct root-cause analysis, and support production environments.
- Work with cloud platforms, CI/CD pipelines, automated deployments, and modern DevOps practices.
- Collaborate with engineering, QA, architecture, and business teams in an Agile environment.
Required Qualifications
- 10+ years of professional Java development experience.
- Strong hands-on expertise in Core Java, collections, multithreading, concurrency, exception handling, and JVM fundamentals.
- Extensive experience with Spring Boot, Spring Framework, and Spring MVC.
- Strong experience designing and developing microservices-based applications.
- Hands-on experience developing and integrating RESTful APIs.
- Experience with Apache Kafka or similar messaging technologies.
- Strong SQL skills and experience with relational databases such as Oracle, PostgreSQL, DB2, or MySQL.
- Experience with Hibernate, JPA, or Spring Data.
- Proficiency with Git and build tools such as Maven or Gradle.
- Experience with JUnit, Mockito, and automated testing.
- Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines, Agile methodologies, and standard SDLC practices.
- Strong debugging, analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with AWS cloud services and cloud-native application development.
- Familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes, and containerized deployments.
- Experience with distributed systems, performance optimization, and high-volume applications.
- Background in financial services or other large enterprise environments.
- Experience supporting production applications and resolving complex technical issues.
