We are seeking a Data Engineer with strong SQL Server platform management experience.
This is a full-time role, in person three days per week at our Manhattan office.
The role has two primary focus areas:
- SQL Server platform support and stabilization
- Early-stage Azure data lakehouse build-out
SQL Server Platform Support
We operate a mature SQL Server based platform that powers daily operational applications and analytics.
Responsibilities:
- Support and maintain our Azure SQL environment
- Monitor performance, availability, and database health
- Perform proactive maintenance, indexing, and tuning
- Troubleshoot and resolve production issues
- Stabilize and optimize operational databases
Initial emphasis will be on monitoring, reliability, and measurable performance improvement in a live production environment.
Azure Data Lake / Lakehouse Build-Out
We are in the early stages of building a modern Azure-based lakehouse architecture.
Strong experience preferred in:
- Microsoft Azure (Azure Government experience is a plus)
- Azure Data Factory
- ADLS Gen2
- Azure Synapse
- Designing batch and streaming data pipelines
- Azure resource provisioning and infrastructure setup
Candidate Profile
