Google Cloud Platform Platform Architect (DevOps / MLOps)

We are seeking an experienced Google Cloud Platform Platform Architect to lead the architecture, implementation, and governance of our Google Cloud Platform ecosystem. The ideal candidate will possess deep expertise in Google Cloud Platform (Google Cloud Platform), CI/CD, DevOps, MLOps, and modern cloud-native platforms. This individual will serve as the technical leader responsible for defining platform strategy, establishing engineering best practices, and guiding multiple development teams in building scalable, secure, and highly automated cloud solutions.

The successful candidate will have a strong architectural mindset, hands-on technical expertise, and the leadership skills required to drive engineering excellence across the organization.

Key Responsibilities

• Architect, design, and oversee enterprise-scale platforms on Google Cloud Platform (Google Cloud Platform).

• Lead platform engineering initiatives and provide technical direction to multiple development teams.

• Define and implement DevOps best practices, automation strategies, and CI/CD pipelines across the organization.

• Build and manage scalable infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform.

• Design and implement MLOps platforms to support machine learning model development, deployment, monitoring, and lifecycle management.

• Develop secure, highly available, and cost-optimized cloud architectures following Google Cloud best practices.

• Establish governance, security, compliance, monitoring, and operational standards for cloud platforms.

• Partner with engineering, data, AI/ML, security, and infrastructure teams to ensure seamless platform integration.

• Mentor engineers and technical leads while driving architectural reviews and engineering standards.

• Optimize platform performance, reliability, observability, and operational efficiency.

• Evaluate emerging cloud technologies and recommend improvements to enhance platform capabilities.

Required Qualifications

• 10 15 years of overall IT experience with at least 5+ years designing and architecting solutions on Google Cloud Platform (Google Cloud Platform).

• Deep expertise in core Google Cloud Platform services including:

  • Compute Engine

  • Google Kubernetes Engine (GKE)

  • Cloud Run

  • Cloud Storage

  • Cloud SQL

  • BigQuery

  • Pub/Sub

  • IAM

  • VPC Networking

• Strong experience designing and implementing enterprise CI/CD pipelines using tools such as GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Jenkins, or Cloud Build.

• Extensive hands-on experience with DevOps practices, automation, containerization, and Kubernetes.

• Strong experience building and managing MLOps platforms using Vertex AI or similar machine learning platforms.

• Expertise in Infrastructure as Code using Terraform.

• Strong knowledge of Docker, Kubernetes, Helm, and cloud-native application architectures.

• Experience implementing monitoring and observability using Cloud Monitoring, Prometheus, Grafana, or similar tools.

• Strong understanding of cloud security, IAM, networking, governance, and compliance.

• Excellent troubleshooting, performance optimization, and platform reliability skills.

• Proven ability to lead cross-functional technical teams and influence architectural decisions.

Preferred Qualifications

• Google Cloud Professional Cloud Architect certification.

• Google Professional DevOps Engineer certification.

• Experience with Vertex AI and enterprise AI/ML workloads.

• Experience implementing GitOps practices using ArgoCD or Flux.

• Familiarity with multi-cloud or hybrid cloud environments.

• Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
