Microsoft Power BI Developer

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Power BI Developer to join our team and support enterprise reporting, analytics, and business intelligence initiatives. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in Power BI development, data modeling, dashboard creation, and data integration, along with the ability to translate complex business requirements into meaningful visual insights.

Required Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in Power BI development and administration.
• Strong experience developing interactive reports, dashboards, and KPI scorecards using Power BI Desktop.
• Experience connecting to multiple data sources, importing data, and transforming data for business intelligence and reporting purposes.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to convert complex datasets into actionable insights.
• Experience implementing Row-Level Security (RLS) and understanding Power BI security models and application-layer security concepts.
• Experience integrating Power BI reports with other applications using Power BI Service (SaaS), Embedded Analytics, and API-based automation.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Azure services and SQL Data Warehouse environments.
• Strong understanding of database management systems and advanced SQL query development.
• Experience with data modeling, data governance, and reporting best practices.

Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Product Owners and stakeholders to discuss requirements, solution designs, deliverables, priorities, and project planning.
• Design, develop, and maintain Power BI reports, dashboards, and data visualization solutions.
• Define, plan, and execute epics, features, and user stories in alignment with stakeholder expectations.
• Analyze business requirements and translate them into scalable reporting and analytics solutions.
• Contribute to the evolution of enterprise Data Platform standards, frameworks, and best practices.
• Define and document business requirements, data mappings, system integrations, and solution patterns.
• Evaluate change requests and participate in ongoing projects to enhance reporting capabilities and data accessibility.
• Ensure data accuracy, security, and performance across reporting solutions.
• Work closely with business and technical teams to deliver high-quality business intelligence solutions.
