Summary

Position Overview: We are seeking an experienced Lead Android Developer to join our mobile application development team. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience building, enhancing, and supporting production-grade Android applications, with solid expertise in Kotlin, Java, Jetpack Compose, and modern Android development practices.

Required Skills & Experience

8+ years of professional experience developing Android applications, including applications published on the Google Play Store.
Strong hands-on experience with Kotlin, Java, Android Studio, Gradle, Jetpack Compose, and Compose UI.
Good understanding of Android architecture and design patterns, including MVC, MVVM, VIPER, and SOLID/OOP principles.
Experience developing consumer-facing mobile applications.
Strong knowledge of integrating mobile applications with REST APIs, JSON, Thrift, and other web services.
Familiarity with Material Design and modern Android UI/UX practices.
Strong troubleshooting, debugging, and analytical skills.
Experience working in Agile/Scrum development environments.
Hands-on experience with Git and source-control workflows.
Working knowledge of JIRA and Confluence.
Understanding of CI/CD and continuous integration/deployment processes.
Excellent communication skills with the ability to work effectively with technical and cross-functional teams.

Key Responsibilities

Design, develop, enhance, and maintain Android applications.
Build responsive, reliable, and high-performing mobile experiences.
Investigate technical issues, identify performance bottlenecks, and implement effective fixes.
Contribute to maintaining clean, scalable, and high-quality code.
Work on technically complex problems and develop practical solutions.
Participate in architecture discussions, design reviews, code reviews, and technical demonstrations.
Collaborate with product and engineering teams to translate requirements into quality mobile solutions.
Contribute ideas and technical recommendations during brainstorming and product development discussions.
Follow established development, testing, source-control, and deployment practices.
