Due to rapid growth, Oracle Government Defense and Intelligence (GDI) is seeking a Cloud Solution Architect (Database Specialist) that has a passion for cloud concepts, and system integration, and cloud migrations that can support customer facing engagements along with several internal Oracle sales efforts. This role is ideal for someone who is tired of working on the same project or with the exact same technology for months or years without the possibility of future growth.

We are looking for a Cloud Pre-Sales Solution Architect with expertise in the following specialty areas:

• Database - data management, Oracle polyglot Database, GoldenGate data replication
• Analytics - Data Lake solutions, Big Data, Hadoop - MapReduce, Apache Spark
• Oracle AI Data Platform - Unifying Data for Scalable Enterprise AI

The primary focus of a Solutions Engineer is to become an expert in a core set of Oracle products and solutions and to present the value proposition and benefits of our solutions to our partners, prospects, customers, and internally to our sales force.

This is a hybrid role based in the Reston VA/ Greater Washington DC area. The position typically requires working onsite at our office or client locations 3-4 days per week, with the flexibility to work remotely 1-2 days per week, depending on business needs.

Candidates must possess or have the ability to obtain and maintain a Secret / Top-Secret Security Clearance to work with the US Federal government.

Responsibilities:

• Understanding, identifying, and documenting client requirements, conduct business and technical studies, design, develop, integrate, and implement information systems business solutions, and provide advice on information systems strategy, policy, management, security, and service delivery.
• Providing pre-sales technical and functional support to prospective clients and customers while ensuring customer satisfaction.
• Acts as a technical resource, mentor, and leader for less experienced Solution Engineers.
• Develop and deliver high quality standard Oracle presentations, demonstrations, and proof of concept implementations.
• Present and articulate advanced product features and benefits, product future direction and overall Oracle solutions.
• Design, validate, and present Oracle cloud architecture solutions to include advanced product concepts, future direction, and 3rd party complimentary products.
• Support sales team in online and in-person selling efforts with minimal supervision.

What you will bring ( Requirements)

• Knowledge and experience with any of public cloud providers including Oracle, Amazon Web Services (AWS), Azure or Google (Google Cloud Platform) architecture, tools, and cloud methodologies
• Solution Architect and/or Developer Certification on Oracle Cloud, AWS, Azure or Google Cloud
• Cloud computing
• 10+ years relevant computer applications or database/tools experience.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Experience with government accreditations for Cloud such as FedRAMP, Impact Level, and ICD 503

Additional:

• Ability to travel as needed; approximately 25% of the time.
• BS degree or equivalent.
• Cloud Certifications are highly desirable.
• Oracle product experience highly desirable.
• Job duties are varied and complex, needing independent judgment.
• May have a project lead role.

US: Hiring Range in USD from: $113,100 to $185,100 per annum. May be eligible for equity. Eligible for commission with an estimated pay mix of 70/30.

Oracle maintains broad salary ranges for its roles in order to account for variations in knowledge, skills, experience, market conditions and locations, as well as reflect Oracle's differing products, industries and lines of business.
Candidates are typically placed into the range based on the preceding factors as well as internal peer equity.
