JOB SUMMARY
The Senior Software Engineer, Salesforce Platform leads design, architecture, and custom development within a large-scale Salesforce environment using Salesforce technologies and modern web development practices, including Apex, JavaScript, Lightning Web Components, REST APIs, and GraphQL. This role partners with engineering, product, business analysis, security, and operations teams to deliver scalable, secure, high-performing platform solutions through continuous development and iterative deployments
CANDIDATE PROFILE
Education and Experience
Required
- Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Management Information Systems, or equivalent work experience
- 7+ years of professional software development experience, including strong analytical, troubleshooting, problem-solving, and follow-through abilities
- At least 6 years of experience designing, developing, testing, and implementing highly customized Salesforce applications, primarily using Lightning Web Components or Aura Components
Preferred
- Experience with user behavior analysis monitoring, scripting, and alerting
- Experience with DevOps process: GitHub, Harness experience is a plus
- High proficiency in JavaScript, JavaScript frameworks, Python, or similar development tools
o Solid understanding of REST, GraphQL, DevOps concepts, and application observability using tools such as Dynatrace and Splunk
CORE WORK ACTIVITIES
- Lead Salesforce platform design, architecture, and custom development using Apex, JavaScript, Lightning Web Components, REST APIs, and GraphQL
- Act as a technical architect and hands-on Salesforce developer, applying deep Salesforce expertise to solve complex platform challenges
- Design and oversee technical architecture solutions that integrate Salesforce with internal systems, with focus on security, authentication, scalability, and performance

- Make informed architectural decisions by evaluating tradeoffs, benefits, risks, and recommendations
- Stay current with Salesforce releases and platform capabilities, guiding the team on relevant new features and implementation opportunities
- Drive UX and design strategies that improve platform adoption, usability, and end-user experience
- Identify process and system optimization opportunities to improve team efficiency, platform effectiveness, and customer outcomes
- Collaborate with business analysts, product managers, and engineering teams to understand requirements and translate them into scalable technical solutions
- Develop and manage off-platform automation scripts using Python or similar tools
- Support security efforts by reviewing Salesforce Shield event logs, alerts, and related monitoring data
- Champion engineering best practices for reusable, scalable, organized, well-tested, and maintainable code
- Mentor team members through pairing, code reviews, documentation, and constructive feedback that raises overall engineering quality
- Customize and extend tools, processes, and delivery practices to increase team effectiveness and support iterative development
