Summary

We are looking for Engineering Technician for our client in Orange, CA
Job Title: Engineering Technician
Job Location: Orange, CA
Job Type: Contract
Job Overview:
Pay Range: $35hr - $40hr

Responsibilities:

  • Generate test plans, protocols, and reports with guidance from engineering teams.
  • Collaborate with design, clinical, and test engineering teams to execute testing activities.
  • Assemble prototype devices in partnership with manufacturing engineering teams.
  • Execute test protocols including surgical simulation and automated testing using specialized equipment such as da Vinci Surgical Systems.
  • Perform design verification testing under guidance from test owners.
  • Identify, document, and escalate issues or failure modes observed during testing.
  • Follow Good Documentation Practices (GDP) when recording test data and results.
  • Perform cleaning and reprocessing of instruments, endoscopes, and accessories.
  • Develop and maintain work instructions for test methods and procedures.
  • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance testing efficiency and workflow.
  • Maintain organized and compliant lab workspaces.
  • Support product verification and test process design activities as assigned.
  • Ensure timely completion of assigned projects and communicate risks to management.
  • Comply with company policies, procedures, and standard operating guidelines.

Required Skills And Experience:

  • High school diploma or GED with 6+ years of experience in hardware production or test environments.
  • Ability to read, write, and comprehend technical instructions and documentation.
  • Basic mathematical skills including interpreting specifications and tolerances.
  • Strong problem-solving and reasoning abilities with attention to quality and detail.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools such as Word and Excel.
  • Ability to follow instructions for executing software scripts and using online documentation systems.
  • Experience using basic tools and measurement equipment.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Strong multitasking and time management skills.
  • Willingness to work with biological samples including blood, tissue, and organs.
  • High level of integrity and adherence to ethical standards.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Associate s or Bachelor s degree in a scientific discipline.
  • Experience working in a medical device environment.
