Job Role and Responsibility: AMD, Inc. is hiring PMTS Network Engineers to Perform network modeling, analysis, and planning, including analysis of capacity needs for network infrastructures. Design and implementation of cutting-edge networking capabilities and architectures across its global network infrastructure. Develop modern, world-class networking solutions that are resilient, performant, scalable, and programmable. Create strategy on various network infrastructure projects in various domains ranging from Data Center networks, AI/ML clusters, SDWAN, Campus, etc. Design, implement, and operate large scale network projects, and stay up-to-date on modern architectures, technologies, and solutions across the industry. Provide senior thought leadership and significant technical contributions in design, implementation, and support of AMD's global network infrastructure. Metrics driven approach towards Network uptime, resiliency, performance, low latency, and end user satisfaction. Provide in-depth technical expertise to identify and evaluate innovations in networking and assess their impact towards positive user experience. Bring innovations with focus on Artificial Intelligence and champion AMD-on-AMD approach to Network infrastructure and operations. Contribute to next-generation networking proof-of-concept projects in close collaboration with partners, guide new technology investments and implementation decisions to evolve the network technology stack. Apply knowledge of engineering principles, best practices, and technologies to the design, development, and testing of various AMD products.

Qualifications: Degree required

Master's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electronics Engineering, or related field.

Qualifications: Amount and type of experience required: Six (6) years of experience in the job offered or as a IT Engineer, Enterprise Architect, or related engineering or networking role.

Alternate combination of education and experience: Employer will accept alternate combination of education and experience: Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electronics Engineering, or related field and eight (8) years of progressive post-baccalaureate experience in the job offered or as a IT Engineer, Enterprise Architect, or related engineering or networking role.

Specific skills required: The following skills are required:

Position requires six (6) years of experience in the following:

1.Designing, implementing and operating large scale network projects on modern architectures;

2.Designing, deploying, and managing scalable and secure network solutions in Data Center or Cloud networking domains;

3.Networking stack (routing, switching, WAN, and DC);

4.Implementing compliance protocols and standards;

5.Utilizing cloud technologies: Azure, Amazon Web Services (AWS), or Google Cloud Platform (Google Cloud Platform);

6.Implementing network security protocols;

7.Troubleshooting network issues related to WAN, LAN, and WLAN; and

8.Automation tools: Ansible, Terraform, or Cisco DNA-C.
