Job Title: PeopleSoft Business Analyst (Fixed Assets / Lease Accounting)

Location: Richmond, VA (Hybrid 3 days onsite)

Job Description:

We are hiring a PeopleSoft Business Analyst to support Fixed Assets and Lease Accounting functions for a major public sector client. This is a unique opportunity to work directly with the financial reporting team and later transition into a key role within a large-scale PeopleSoft implementation project.

Key Responsibilities:

• Work closely with financial reporting teams to analyze and compile financial data for reporting (ACFR, GAAP, GASB)

• Support Fixed Assets and Lease Accounting operations

• Perform data analysis, reconciliations, and ensure compliance with accounting standards

• Participate in full SDLC: requirements, design, testing, and implementation

• Create and execute system test scenarios and support regression testing

• Work on Reports, Interfaces, Conversions, and Enhancements (RICE components)

• Provide Tier 2 functional support, troubleshoot issues, and assist end users

• Collaborate with technical teams (developers) for system improvements

• Maintain documentation, job aids, and training materials

Required Skills:

• Experience as a Business Analyst (PeopleSoft preferred)

• Strong knowledge of financials / accounting (GAAP)

• Experience with Fixed Assets or Lease Accounting (preferred)

• Understanding of SDLC and system testing

• Ability to read SQL / PeopleCode (nice to have)

• Strong analytical and communication skills
