Role : ETL SDET – Python & PySpark

 

Location- Remote

 

 

Overview :

 

Healthfirst is seeking a highly skilled ETL SDET with strong expertise in Python, PySpark and data validation frameworks to support complex healthcare data pipelines. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and executing automated test frameworks for large‑scale ETL workflows, ensuring data accuracy, quality, and compliance across clinical, claims, and member‑related datasets. This role requires deep technical proficiency, strong analytical skills, and hands‑on experience working in regulated healthcare environments.

 

Key Responsibilities :

  • ETL Testing & Automation
    • Design and implement automated test frameworks for ETL pipelines using Python and PySpark.
    • Validate data transformations, data quality rules, and end‑to‑end data flows across multiple healthcare data sources.
    • Develop automated scripts to test ingestion, cleansing, enrichment, and loading processes for structured and semi‑structured data.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • 10+years of experience as an SDET or QA Engineer with strong focus on ETL testing.
  • Advanced proficiency in Python for automation, scripting, and data validation.
  • Hands‑on experience with PySpark, Spark SQL, and distributed data processing.
  • Strong understanding of ETL concepts, data warehousing, and data modeling.
  • Experience testing data pipelines in healthcare environments (claims, eligibility, provider, member data).
  • Solid knowledge of SQL for complex queries, joins, aggregations, and validation logic.
  • Experience with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitLab, Azure DevOps, etc.).
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Google Cloud Platform, or Azure) and big‑data ecosystems.
  • Strong analytical, communication, and documentation skills.
