A bit about us:My client is a leading manufacturing company who is growing! They are looking to add a Mechanical Engineer to their team who is responsible for detailed design and drawing creation via SolidWorks and AutoCAD of custom sheet metal machinery.

Job DetailsJob Duties:
- Design: Work within SolidWorks and AutoCAD to create 3D/2D models and produce drawings for fabrication and assembly.
- Problem Solving: Provide engineering support for manufacturing and Service to troubleshoot technical issues.
- Continuous improvement: Work with colleagues to identify reoccurring issues and improvement opportunities. Develop and implement solutions.
- Travel: Some customer interface along with installation and startup support required.
General Requirements:
Experience:
- BSME - 2 or more years in a machine design environment, or similar.
- ASME - 5 or more years in machine design environment, or similar
Education:
- 4-year/bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering
or
- A 2-year/associate's degree in mechanical technology
Skills:
- SolidWorks (Focus in Sheet Metal, Multibody Parts, & Weldments)
- AutoCAD interface with legacy designs
- Pneumatic and hydraulic circuit designs
- Hand calculations and understanding of computer-generated calculations.
- Other software: Microsoft 365 suite, Adobe pdf reader, Visual ERP system.
Qualities:
- Design and detail drawings for manufacturability with a focus in sheet metal fabrication/forming/welding as well as mechanical parts
- Desire to learn machine process in both our Textiles and Wastewater groups
- Ability to follow written instructions. We are an ISO 9001 facility and must follow written procedures.
