AI Security Engineer

About the Role
We are seeking a Level 3/Level 4 AI Security Engineer to join a global, highly collaborative team. The ideal candidate will operate with the same performance, accountability, and professional standards as an internal employee. This role focuses on aligning cybersecurity initiatives with corporate goals, overseeing Security Operations Center (SOC) functions, driving secure application development, and engineering generative AI solutions with strong governance controls.
Key Responsibilities
Cybersecurity Operations & Executive Alignment
· Stakeholder & Executive Communication: Work with senior leadership, project managers, and stakeholders to align cybersecurity initiatives with business goals. Communicate critical SOC risks, strategies, incident statuses, and detailed KPI performance reports.
· SOC Oversight & Incident Response: Oversee SOC operations to ensure proper tooling, technologies, and processes. Design and execute advanced threat detection and incident response protocols for rapid containment and remediation.
· Physical & Communication Security: Oversee the integration of physical security measures with cybersecurity protocols. Develop and implement secure communication strategies to protect sensitive data.
· Governance & Team Leadership: Establish governance frameworks for security operations to ensure regulatory compliance. Mentor cybersecurity team members through targeted training and guidance.
AI Engineering & RAG Architecture
· GenAI & LLM Solutions: Design, build, and implement AI-powered solutions, AI Agents, and intelligent workflow automations using LLMs in Azure AI Foundry, Microsoft Copilot Studio, Power Platform, and Power Automate.
· RAG & Knowledge Retrieval: Design and implement Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) architectures, including vector search, grounding strategies, and enterprise knowledge integrations.
· AI Governance & Guardrails: Monitor and optimize AI model performance, reduce hallucinations, handle non-deterministic behavior, and implement safety controls, evaluation frameworks, and governance guardrails.
· MCP & API Integration: Build AI services using APIs, connectors, and Model Context Protocol (MCP) servers to enable secure, scalable enterprise integration.
Software Engineering & CI/CD Pipelines
· Development & APIs: Design, build, and maintain scalable Python applications, RESTful APIs (FastAPI), and enterprise integrations using REST, SOAP, and GraphQL.
· Data & Pipelines: Develop and maintain ETL workflows, automated data-processing solutions, and data ingestion pipelines.
· DevSecOps & Automation: Build, optimize, and support CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions, Secrets Vault, Mezmo, Docker, and Kubernetes across AWS and Azure environments.
· Scripting & Quality: Utilize Shell, Python, Linux, JavaScript, and SQL for automation and operational support. Perform code reviews, automated testing, and maintain technical documentation.
Qualifications & Requirements
Education
· Required: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Systems (CIS/MIS), Engineering, or a related technical discipline (or equivalent experience/training).
· Preferred: Master's degree in a related technical discipline.
Required Experience & Skills
· 3 to 5 years of hands-on experience in Vulnerability Management.
· 3 to 5+ years of experience in Cybersecurity Engineering.
· 3 to 5+ years of full Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) experience designing, developing, and implementing large-scale applications in hosted production environments.
· 3 to 5+ years of professional, design, and open-source software experience.
Preferred / Nice-to-Have Skills
· 5 years of full SDLC experience.
· Hands-on experience developing and implementing generative-based AI solutions using Large Language Models (e.g., OpenAI GPT, Google Gemini, Llama).
· Professional Certifications in Python Programming or Artificial Intelligence.
