Role DescriptionA front-to-back derivatives trading system written mostly in C. It is a large codebase with business functionality built on top of a custom framework. You will work on the core platform components as well as the business layer to improve stability, performance, ease of development and user experience. This work is highly collaborative within the team and with other teams including other developers across the stack, DevOps, Business Analysts and Business Users.
Role Objectives- Improve stability and testability of the system
- Investigate complex issues in custom software, database performance and components running in a networked environment

Qualifications and Skills- Experienced Software Engineer
- Strong communicator

- Has strong Computer Science fundamentals
- Has experience with large C/C++ codebases
- Has some experience with C# and Python
- Has experience with relational databases and SQL
- Familiar with Visual Studio and related tooling
- Experience in the Windows environment
- Experience in Capital Markets in a large financial institution
