Lead Software Engineer Java Microservices

Responsibilities

* Design, develop, and maintain enterprise applications using Java and Spring Boot microservices.

* Build scalable backend services using JDK 17+ and modern development practices.

* Develop integrations involving MongoDB, Kafka, and Oracle databases.

* Create and maintain Splunk dashboards and queries for application monitoring and troubleshooting.

* Use APM and monitoring tools to identify performance issues and improve system reliability.

* Support BDD-driven development and quality-focused engineering processes.

* Participate in containerized application deployments using OpenShift (OCP) and Kubernetes.

* Leverage AI-assisted development tools such as GitHub Copilot to improve engineering productivity.

* Work closely with cross-functional teams during development, testing, deployment, and support activities.

Required Qualifications

* 15+ years of software engineering experience.

* Strong hands-on experience developing Spring Boot microservices.

* Experience building Spring-based web applications.

* Strong knowledge of JDK 17 or later versions.

* Experience with Splunk query development and dashboard creation.

* Familiarity with APM tools and application performance analysis.

* Strong experience with MongoDB and Kafka-based integrations.

* Working knowledge of Oracle Database.

* Familiarity with Behavior-Driven Development (BDD) methodologies.

* Experience with Kubernetes and OpenShift container platforms.

* Strong communication, collaboration, and problem-solving abilities.
