Senior (Level 4) Airworthiness & Regulatory Engineer to join our team in
Everett, Washington.
The Applicant & Safety Excellence team is growing to meet the need to "Strengthen the Applicant" by harnessing the power of the functional Safety & Airworthiness organization. The Airworthiness & Regulatory Engineer will work as a technical integrator across Safety & Airworthiness (SAW) and subject-matter expert on Applicant capability elevating performance in all BCA functions and programs and partner with BGS and BDS on best practices.

Primary responsibilities: - Partner with SAW, Cert Leaders, Safety, Certification & Program (SC&P) leaders, and Organization Delegation Authorization (ODA) and development and delivery of targeted improvements (updated processes, tools, training, job aids, metrics, communication, guidance, etc.) for the Applicant community based on current performance to meet business objectives.
- Serve as a technical integrator for airworthiness and regulatory compliance across SAW integration activities and support operationalizing SAW strategy and policy.
- Lead cross-functional integration needed to support major certification initiatives and safety events.
- Lead wide-spread objective to reducing interference between Applicant and ODA activities.
- Drive continued improved performance and efficiency in the protentional Notification of Non-Compliances (pNNCs) process and execution.
- Leverage AI-enabled tools/technology to define performance metrics and dashboards that measure regulatory/compliance posture, audit readiness, and Applicant independence and inform paths for improved performance.
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills and Experience):- Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology), chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science
- Level 3: 5+ years of related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- Level 4: 9+ years of related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- 5+ years of experience in a role developing, leading, and executing projects and utilizing project processes / skills
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills and Experience):- Experience working within the certification value stream
- Experience with showing compliance
- Demonstrated performance delivering in ambiguous situations
- Self-driven and autonomous
- Experience investigating and finding solutions to complex technical or regulatory issues
- Success with setting up a new system in an established organization
- Systems thinker capable of making engineering proposals based on data analysis and forecasting wide-reaching and longer-term impacts
- Experience communicating verbally and in writing, to a variety of audiences including FAA representation, ODA Leadership, Engineering Unit Members (E-UM) & Project Administrators (PA), and Program & Functional Leaders, Cert Leaders, SC&P Leaders and SAW
- Proficient in developing communication and presenting (road showing) to multiple levels of an organization

Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.
Summary Pay Range:
- Experienced (Level 3): $114,750 - $155,250
- Senior (Level 4): $141,100 - $190,900
