Technical Support Specialist

Overview:
We are seeking a Desktop Support Technician to provide hands-on technical support for staff and students in a classroom-focused environment. This role is responsible for maintaining reliable end-user technology, troubleshooting hardware and software issues, and ensuring minimal disruption to instructional delivery.
Responsibilities:

• Provide desktop and end-user support for desktops, laptops, tablets, printers, and peripherals used by staff and students.
• Troubleshoot and resolve hardware and software issues quickly to minimize impact on classroom instruction and learning activities.
• Support Windows and macOS operating systems, including basic configuration, updates, and troubleshooting.
• Assist users with productivity tools including Microsoft Office and Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, Drive, Gmail, etc.).
• Troubleshoot basic wired and wireless network connectivity issues affecting classrooms, offices, and instructional spaces.
• Document issues, resolutions, and procedures according to established IT support processes.
• Deliver patient, professional, and clear communication when assisting educators and students with varying technical skill levels.

Qualifications:

• Experience providing desktop or end-user support in an educational or professional environment.
• Working knowledge of Windows and Mac operating systems.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office and Google Workspace applications.
• Basic understanding of networking concepts, including Wi-Fi and wired connectivity troubleshooting.
• Strong customer service skills with the ability to support non-technical users.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience supporting classroom technology or educational environments.
• Ability to prioritize issues based on instructional impact.
• Strong documentation and communication skills.

Job Type & Location
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Nashville, TN.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $25.00/hr.
