This individual will play a pivotal role in developing innovative and effective solutions for our DoD customers within the IC sector.

Required Qualifications

Hands-on engineering experience with NetApp and other storage technologies and concepts (Storage Area Network - SAN & Network Attached Storage - NAS)

Must have knowledge and understanding of protocols such as S3, CIFS, NFS, iSCI, and Fiber Channel Block Storage (SAN)

Experience with capacity planning and sizing storage and backup environments (to include Veritas NetBackup, Cohesity, Rubrik, & CommVault

Experience in performance tuning and optimizing storage and backup environments

Experience with data center migrations and storage replication technologies

Senior-level experience with the design, development, implementation, and maintenance of large-scale systems, preferably across multiple hardware platforms and data centers

Strong understanding of high availability concepts with practical experience and implementation of key components in storage environments

Strong understanding of fundamental hardware concepts: disk, memory, CPU, NIC, HBA, firmware, RAID, performance concepts (I/O, paging, swapping, system calls), iSCSI, Fiber Channel, Ethernet

Strong understanding of essential TCP/IP concepts: TCP, UDP, ICMP, SMTP, SNMP, LDAP, DNS, NTP, etc..
Experience connecting storage arrays to Hypervisor Technologies (NUTANIX, VMWARE VCF, OpenStack).

Understanding of security best practices and federal hardening requirements (FISMA, STIG, etc.)
CompTIA Security+ or similar certification for IAT Level II DoD 8570 compliance

Proficient written and oral communication skills
Strong collaborative attitude and ability to work in a team environment
Ability to take direction
