Summary

Principal Mobile Engineer

Location: Los Angeles, CA (Hybrid 3 days onsite)

W2 Only role.
Candidates must be authorized to work in the United States.

We are seeking a Principal Mobile Engineer to lead the design, development, and evolution of AI-enabled mobile applications. This role combines hands-on technical leadership, mobile architecture ownership, and cross-functional collaboration to deliver secure, scalable, and intuitive mobile experiences.

Key Responsibilities

Lead architecture and development of native iOS applications using Swift, SwiftUI, UIKit, and Combine.
Provide technical leadership and guidance for Android development using Kotlin.
Define mobile engineering standards, reusable components, and best practices.
Collaborate with Product, Design, Backend, QA, and AI teams to deliver high-quality mobile solutions.
Drive improvements in CI/CD, performance monitoring, crash analytics, and observability.
Implement and manage mobile analytics, monitoring, and reporting using Datadog, Firebase, Google Analytics, and Adobe Analytics.
Mentor engineers and support technical decision-making across mobile platforms.
Leverage AI-enabled development tools and workflows to improve engineering productivity.

Required Qualifications

10+ years of mobile development experience, including 3+ years in a technical leadership role.
Expert-level experience with Swift, SwiftUI, UIKit, and Combine.
Strong knowledge of Kotlin and Android architecture components.
Experience with Azure DevOps, Git, Fastlane, Firebase, Xcode, and Android Studio.
Experience with REST APIs, OAuth2, mobile security, CI/CD, automated testing, and TDD.
Hands-on experience with Datadog, Google Analytics, and Adobe Analytics.
Strong understanding of accessibility standards (WCAG, ARIA).
Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.
Experience building fintech or consumer-facing mobile applications.
Knowledge of mobile payments, identity verification, and push notification systems.
Experience contributing to open-source projects or technical publications.
