AI Engineering Lead (Python, AI/ML, LLM)

Job Title: AI Engineering Lead
Location: Dallas, TX or New York, NY (Hybrid – 3 Days Onsite)
Type: Full-Time

We are seeking a hands-on AI Engineering Lead to drive the design, development, and delivery of enterprise-grade AI solutions. This is a senior leadership role reporting to the Head of AI, responsible for leading 2–6 engineers per development pod and delivering production-ready AI/ML/LLM applications—not just proof-of-concepts.

Key Responsibilities

• Define and execute AI strategy and technical roadmap
• Lead end-to-end design, architecture, and implementation of advanced AI/ML and LLM applications
• Drive development of AI algorithms and optimize model performance for scale, reliability, and safety
• Architect and prototype LLM and agentic AI applications
• Stand up data ingestion pipelines and manage integration with broader enterprise systems (Catalyst ecosystem)
• Own delivery of AI use cases from concept through production
• Implement robust quality, governance, and AI safety frameworks
• Collaborate cross-functionally with product, engineering, and business stakeholders
• Mentor and lead a high-performing AI engineering team

Required Qualifications

• Master’s or Ph.D. in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, or related field
• Proven experience leading production-level AI implementations (not limited to POC work)
• Extensive hands-on experience designing, building, and deploying AI/ML models at scale
• Strong expertise in LLM architecture, agentic frameworks, and AI application prototyping
• Proficiency in Python and/or TypeScript
• Demonstrated leadership experience managing engineering teams
